General Update

Hello all! Webmaster Ben here. I'm posting from the weekly meeting of MARRS. Not a lot of attendance tonight, but we are overflowing with enthusiasm! Spoons has been moved to next week and tonight became an impromptu gorget (gore-jay) making night. There are also cupcakes and some awesome music. But we have some things we need to be working on as a group. so, for the uninitiated, here's a list:

  • Posters: Tussy and Jeremy are hypothetically working on these, but they will still need some help. Volunteers would be appreciated.

  • Bake Sale: Due to recent unpleasantness, our bake sale may or may not occur. Email Alex Gil for info on scheduling, or Ben George for info on food.

  • DEMO! All kinds of stuff. Contact whoever. There's nothing big to add at the moment.

  • Christmas Parade in Seymour. We need at least 10 volunteers. Contact Jon Rivnyak

Site is up and running!

In contrast to my previous entry, I'd now posit that the site is good enough to show to non-club members if it is helpful. You know, so people know what we are doing and when we are doing it, as far as newbies or the uninformed wanted to get in on stuff, or just learn about the group. All of our positions within the club and who holds them are now listed on the left hand column of information (yes, Jon, this includes you (*shakes head*)). There are links to our Facebook group page as well as SCA pages added as well. Any contributions or requests I can make possible will be considered and discussed both individually and in group. If not in a club meeting than at least in a meeting of the E-board (Executive). In addition, anything you feel should be altered i.e. if there's a photo of you in the slideshow you want removed or that you feel portrays the club in a negative light in any way, shape, or form, can be freely discussed and adressed on the basis of incidence, or, one at a time. The calendar will be frequently updated by myself and, if they so wish, other E-board members. SCA and MARRS meetings have not been made weekly ad infinitum due to the likliness and historical frequency of schedule alterations. However, the calendar will be updated very frequently for such deviations.

If you need to contact me (Webmaster) you can email me at SCSUMARRS@gmail.com, or Obi_Ben77@yahoo.com.

All other E-board members have access to as administrators to this address but do not use it as their primary email. If you do not have their primary and need to reach them in a pinch I can forward the necessary messages.

Ok, now official information: Unfortunately, last night's meeting minutes were haphazardly recorded by yours truly. Even more unfortunate is the revelation we came to about our windfall and its accessibility. Turns out it isn't really ours til Spring semester. But, we'll do ok. Motion to purchase the Chrononauts expansion passed (and will be purchased today-ish.). Make a note of these items:

  • We will at some point, probably quite soon, be making posters. Talk to Jeremy Koval or Victoria "Tussy" Padilla for details.

  • Despite our president's abhorrence of bake sales, they do make excellent cash so we are doing one. Date TBA, event is being spearheaded by Feastmeister Benjamin George.

  • Continue discussing the MARRS Demo (Henceforth officially known as the MARRS Exhibition, for SCSU scheduling and records purposes.) as the date approaches.

Good morrow gentle peasants!
